Paso Robles. Deep in the heart of wine country. But another thing that’s important to know is that Paso Robles also has a lot of heart. In particular, there is a sense of community in this small (but also big) town. This comes out in both their street eats as well as their community culture.
On September 14, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM pop your head over to Downtown Paso Robles to sample some food from local restaurants. The name of the event Taste of Downtown means you literally get to sample some local favourites while getting inspiration for what to cook (or order) for home. Passes are $25 per person, but this goes to include restaurants, over 35 wineries, and many other activities, like a DJ all day long!
On the same day, September 14, 2019, there is also the Arte De Tiza, which roughly translate to chalk art. Yes, you read that correctly: chalk art! This is not just some simple artwork that’s oddly reminiscent of toddler’s sketches of stick figures, this is truly inspirational art masterpieces. With some of these creations, it might even be hard to tell the difference between art and reality. Perhaps that is an exaggeration, but that is up for you to decide upon visiting. This event happens as part of Taste of Downtown, so no need to go anywhere else as it’s all in one place.
