Two Paths to Transparency
January 26, 2012 - February 12, 2012
The Showroom
Cecily Willis is a watercolor artist from Newhall, California. She received her MFA in Painting from the Otis Art Institute. She has been a professional artist for over 40 years in the fields of textile design, fashion illustration, and newspaper and corporate graphic design. She is now retired and devotes all of her free time to painting. She loves watercolor and the great adventure of visualizing what you would like a painting to be, and then have it turn out entirely different from what you imagined. Her work would be considered realistic with a translucency that makes it come alive.
Rod Baker describes himself as a "self taught" independent glass artist, beginning with stained glass about 30 years ago and moving into fusing in 2002. In 2007 he began blowing glass, first at Cal Poly, and then in his own studio. Each piece with its vibrant colors and patterns is individually hand crafted, and is one of a kind. Rod lives and works in Los Osos, California.

However, whenever David tries to make a good impression on Peabody, the same young woman always seems to do something to make him look bad. She is the flighty heiress Susan Vance. The more David wants Susan to go away, the more Susan seems not to want or be able to. But David eventually learns that Alexander Peabody is her good friend...

In 1987, he moved to Siena, Tuscany, working with the Luppoli family in the Malborghetto Restaurant, which was a local "hang-out" for those in the Tuscan Region. This provided the roots of his experience for service and quality of the Tuscan cuisine. In 1992 he made a bold move to the United States, establishing the restaurant "Pane Caldo" in Beverly Hills. He was also a chef at the Cicada restaurant in Los Angeles. Entertainer Ellen DeGeneres says that Trattoria Grappolo is one of her favorite restaurants of all time! This festival is also a great opportunity to get people from all over the West Coast to come an see Paso Robles all that the Central Coast has to offer.

Blending Seminars
These one-day workshops ( allow you to experiment with the blending step of the winemaking process. You will be guided through the blending process by our winemaker as part of a group blending class with each person trying to create the "best blend."
At the end of the seminar, our winemaker or winemaker panel will choose the "best blend," which will become the group's private blend. As a blender, you will have the opportunity to purchase as little as two cases (per person or couple) of the group blend, or you can purchase a minimum of four cases of your own private blend made during the seminar. (The cost of purchasing wine is in addition to the blending seminar admission.)
Blending seminars are great for group events such as wedding parties, businesses, families, groups and teams. They also make great corporate team-building exercises.
Your group may participate in one of the regularly scheduled blending seminars or schedule a private blending party. To schedule a private event, give us a call at (877) 82-CRUSH (822-7874).
Crush Club members receive discounts on blending seminars, First Crush wine and merchandise, travel and other services.
