This past month, we had to say goodbye to our beloved on-site restaurant, Margie’s Diner. Margie’s Diner was a Paso Robles institution that had been part of our property for over 30 years. While it was hard to see such a fine establishment close, we are excited to refer our guests to some of Paso Robles’ other great eateries. From contemporary Italian at Il Cortile Ristorante to the picturesque Daou Vineyards, check out this list of the best places to eat in Paso Robles, California.
Contemporary Italian cuisine is what you get at Paso Robles favorite Il Cortile Ristorante. This fine dining Italian restaurant offers a seasonal menu to ensure the freshest ingredients possible. Guests can expect freshly made pasta, delicious seafood, and top quality meats. There is also an extensive wine list featuring popular wines from the region.
If laid back and lively is more your vibe, then you can’t go wrong with Fish Gaucho. Paso Robles’ resident Mexican cantina, this low key eatery has been impressing guests with their craft cocktails and authentic Mexican fare for years. From their famous fish tacos to their specialty, the Tri-tip Asada (wagyu beef brined in Mexican lager), there is so much to love on the menu here. There’s also a massive tequila list and several vegan and vegetarian options.
Enjoy a romantic afternoon at the breathtaking Daou Vineyards. This family-run property offers an al fresco dining experience (with wine pairings, of course). Currently, they have a “French at Heart Picnic for Two” available for couples, as well as an exclusive Daou Tasting Experience that will have you sipping on a flight of diverse wines from the Daou Reserve and Estate Collections. As you would expect, the setting is breathtaking, with nothing but rolling hills and scenic vineyards all around you.
If you plan on checking out Paso Robles’ food scene, then you’ll want to book a room at the Best Western Plus Black Oak. We combine excellent service and warm rooms with an unbeatable location near some of the area's finest restaurants.
