When it comes to new attractions for wine and spirit-lovers, Paso Robles is hard to beat.

The destination boasts some fabulous new attractions for those who enjoy discovering the finest wines and the most unique spirits.

So book yourself into a cozy hotel like the BEST WESTERN PLUS Black Oak, leave the car keys back in your suite and take yourself off on a voyage of discovery of Paso Roble’s local libations this spring.

1. New Distillery Hits the Trail

Set to open any day now, Azeo is the newest distillery on the Paso Robles Distillery Trail.

Boasting a fabulous selection of handcrafted spirits, from apple cider, apple brandy and rum to brandy and coffee liquor, Azeo will be the ninth spirit-maker and tasting room located within Paso Robles’ city limits.

So whether you enjoy sipping on ice, brushing up your mixology skills or treating yourself to the occasional tasty pick-me-up, Azeo’s spirits are sure to add a flavorful touch to any trip to Paso Robles.

2. New Paso Robles Sparkling Wine Map

Ooh-la-la! The first-ever Paso Robles Sparkling Wine Map is finally here. Call it what you will - bubbly, fizz, sparkling wine or bubbles - California sparkling wine certainly packs a punch when it hits your lips!

It may not be able to legally call itself ‘Champagne’ because it isn’t produced in the Champagne region of France, but California’s Central Coast boasts some of the very best sparkling wine in the world – and it’s even made using the same methods – or ‘method champenoise’ - used in the Champagne region of France.

Paso Robles has more than 30 sparkling wine producers bringing some superb bubbles to the county, so sparkling wine-lovers will be spoilt for choice with tasting options that showcase everything from the French classic-style sparkling wines to bubbles that tip their hat at the Italian Proseccos.

You can now use the Sparkling Wine Map to find them all: which local wineries make sparkling wine, and most importantly, where you can have a taste. Maps can be downloaded online at www.calicoastwinecountry.com.

The BEST WESTERN PLUS Black Oak Hotel is a perfect option for discovering Paso Robles’ many local fire-waters. Its central Paso Robles location puts you within minutes of more than 250 wineries. Family owned and operated since 1961, this beautifully landscaped property features a variety of well-appointed rooms and suites, along with an onsite restaurant, heated pool, sauna, hot tub and fitness center.
