Pets! Kind of odd when you think about it-- that is, why do we have them? That’s another story for another day that dates back to when we didn’t have the technology or living conditions we do now. Regardless of how much they may cost us, we still have pets, and we love them to the end of time. Not to forget other types of pets, but our front runners cats and dogs, which is a specific feature of this weekend-long event in Paso Robles.
Wine 4 Paws is a weekend to benefit the Woods Humane Society. The society, founded in 1955, is an organization dedicated to the proper care of homeless dogs and cats. This includes finding new homes and families for pets, work on curbing the overpopulation, and various other support through education of pets.
The weekend itself is meant to raise funds for the Woods Human Society to to make a difference for many homeless pets. The weekend will feature what Paso Robles is known for: wine! Take part in a series of wine tastings or simply shop around to find your favourite wine. With over 80 wineries participating alongside olive oil companies and breweries, you simply cannot go wrong.
As a special note, there are several wineries that open their doors to the public that weekend. Normally, these wineries are by appointment only, but if you drop by on April 6th and 7th, of 2019, you won’t have to worry.
For more information, visit the Woods Humane Society Wine 4 Paws webpage.
While it will be quite the busy weekend with the benefit event bringing everyone from across the region, there are still plenty of other things to do, and of course, many of the things to do are wine-oriented. With that in mind, after a glass or two of wine comfortable beds seem like the next best idea. Check out the Best Western Plus Black Oak room choices to get what suits your needs the best.
